Testimonials...
OMG!!!!!! This website helped me so much! I just got my first iPod yesterday and this helped alot.
SallyAnne, USA

You are a genius, I thought I had downloaded iTunes 7... I didn't have to reset, everything came up as was on it when it crashed. I cannot thank you enough for not giving up, this one had sentimental value that you cannot believe and they do not make the black nanos anymore. I tried everything on the internet, and you are the only one that replied and kept at it until you solved the problem.
Thank you.

Wow Daniel! What a fantastic service. I really didn't expect such a prompt response, if at all. And thanks for your advice. I certainly will be downloading from the sites you have listed. We are bathing in summer heat here, whilst I guess you are sheltering from the approaching winter. As a student it is not unusual to work through the night and I must say, how fantastic it is to have music all night. And such excellent quality sound too. So thrilled to have iPod up and running!
Thanks again.
Ciao

Rating

Apple iPod Nano 1st Generation uses flash memory rather than hard drive and comes in three models. A 1GB, 2GB and 4GB models and comes in two color choices... black or white.

The higher capacity nano holds up to 1000 songs or up to 25,000 photos.

It has a crisp color display and lets you view album art as well as downloaded pictures from your computer.

Apple iPod Nano 1st generation features an ultra-portable, lightweight design with a gorgeous color screen, Apple's patent pending Click Wheel, a stop watch, screen lock and a clock that allows you to create multiple analogue/digital clocks.

At 3.5 — 1.6 — 0.27in and weighing 1.5 ounces, the nano is as deep as six stacked credit cards and thinner than a pencil. It was designed to replace the iPod Mini and neatly fills the gap that the iPod Mini left behind.

Its 1.5in LCD screen makes viewing photos gorgeous and the LED backlight offers amazing clear view of your photos. The screen is extremely sharp, with great contrast and allows you to display album art while playing music, view photo slideshows or playing games in full color.

At the top of the iPod nano features a hold button to lock out the Click Wheel. This prevents accidentally skipping to the next song or changing the volume. The bottom of the iPod Nano holds the input of the earphones and a 30 pin connector that links up the Nano to your computer.

Linking is done via a USB 2.0 cable. When linked up, the computer charges the iPod Nano. You must make sure your computer features USB 2.0 because USB 1.1 can't charge and no separate AC adapter is included.

Given its diminuitive size, the nano's click wheel is responsive in normal use. You feel…and hear, in a quiet environment and scrolls smoothly as you move your thumb around the click wheel.

It integrates with the iTunes Music Store and iTunes 6 or later including an AutoSync Technology that automatically downloads your music collection, podcasts, photos onto your iPod Nano that keeps you up to date whenever you plug your iPod Nano into your computer.

What's included

Apple iPod Nano 1st Generation comes with earbud headphones, a USB 2.0 cable, dock adaptor and a CD with iTunes for Mac and Windows.

Verdict

A clear color-screen, responsive and manageable controls, photo viewing, fast syncing, and impossibly thin... in my view the Apple iPod Nano 1st Generation is a perfect fit for anyone looking for great music on the go and for photo viewing.

It sounds great and mixes the best features of the shuffle, mini, and color iPods. Your decision to purchase this slick iPod will simply boil down to this: what are you willing to cough up for cool?...Because there just isn't a cooler iPod than this one.
