Testimonials...
OMG!!!!!! This website helped me so much! I just got my first iPod yesterday and this helped alot.
SallyAnne, USA

You are a genius, I thought I had downloaded iTunes 7... I didn't have to reset, everything came up as was on it when it crashed. I cannot thank you enough for not giving up, this one had sentimental value that you cannot believe and they do not make the black nanos anymore. I tried everything on the internet, and you are the only one that replied and kept at it until you solved the problem.
Thank you.

Wow Daniel! What a fantastic service. I really didn't expect such a prompt response, if at all. And thanks for your advice. I certainly will be downloading from the sites you have listed. We are bathing in summer heat here, whilst I guess you are sheltering from the approaching winter. As a student it is not unusual to work through the night and I must say, how fantastic it is to have music all night. And such excellent quality sound too. So thrilled to have iPod up and running!
Thanks again.
Ciao

Rating

Apple iPod nano 2nd generation is available in capacities of 2GB, 4GB and 8GB and has scratch-resistant aluminium shell and rounded edges.

The 2GB is the lowest priced and comes in silver whereas the 4GB comes in bright blue, green and pink, and the 8GB comes in only brushed-metal black.

The higher capacity nano holds up to 2000 songs or up to 25,000 photos.

At 3.5 — 1.6 — 0.26in and weighing 1.41ounces, it's approximately the same height and width as the 1st generation iPod nano. Unlike the first generation nano, this bears a headphone port on the bottom rather than the top.

You can sync via a USB only, and it has all the features found on the first generation iPod nano including Volume Limit, Stopwatch, Screen Lock, and support for Nike + iPod Sport Kit. Sound quality is second to none.

A notable new feature is the search accessed via a 'Search' command at the bottom of the 'Music' screen. Choose this command and press the centre button to be taken to the 'Search' screen. At the 'Search' screen, you use the scroll wheel to select letters on the screen.

This is a very useful tool for those with large disorganized music libraries. There's also a more helpful new feature that causes a translucent-grey alphanumeric overlay to appear on the screen when you're scrolling through a list of artists, albums, or songs.

The overlay appears displaying the letter that corresponds to where you are in the list: M for Madonna, Michael Jackson, for example.

The LCD screen is bright and displays the colors in a more than adequate manner. The text... such as the name of the song, the artist, the time it runs, etc... is easy to read and isn't too small for your eyes to comprehend, but it will be difficult for people who may have an eye sight problem.

Battery time seems longer than the previous nano and turns off by itself after being on standby for a certain amount of time. This helps conserve the battery life without recharging and takes a very short time to recharge... about 45 minutes.

What's included

Apple iPod Nano 2nd generation comes with an earbud, a USB 2.0 cable, dock adaptor and a quick start guide.

Requirements

Mac| PC

Verdict

Apple iPod nano 2nd generation looks great with its rugged aluminium finish and bright display. On a single charge the nano can play more than 24 hours of music and the ability to quickly search your music collection is a nice enhancement. I give it thumbs up.
