JBL Spyro

Among all the portable iPod JBL speaker(s) out there in the market, the JBL Spyro sounds and looks like no other personal system with a powerful, compact 2.1-channel.

JBL Spyro is designed and engineered to produce rich sound from your iPod with its delicate and beautiful satellite subwoofers.

There are optional subwoofer covers that let you express yourself.

To control the volume, just touch it once and it will increase or decrease it so as to mute or unmute it. Best of all about the Spyro is that it remembers your previous settings every time the system is powered on.

I'll recommend the JBL Spyro because of its incredible sound, clarity and beautifully crafted design.

Pros:

  • Superb sound quality
  • Attractive design
  • Connects via a stereo mini jack
  • Easy to use touch controls.

JBL On Tour

JBL On Tour is smaller and portable. It connects to your iPod via a standard 1/8in mini-plug cable which means that you can use it with any iPod, from the shuffle to the video.

The most unique feature of the On Tour is the sliding cover. When closed, it protects the speakers and controls.

To use the iPod JBL speaker On Tour, you simply slide the cover out of the way and it remains attached and acts as a stand, angling the speakers slightly towards you. To turn it off, you press both the up/down buttons at the same time.

By simply closing the case, the system also turns off or when an audio signal is no longer detected – handy for saving battery juice.

The iPod JBL speaker On Tour is a great travel system and it's good value in the portable speaker market and if you fancy portability rather than bass, you'll definitely want to consider it.

JBL On Tour is compatible with most iPods and iPod mini.

Pros:

  • Smaller for easy portability
  • Runs on 4 AAA batteries or with an AC adapter.

Cons:

  • Doesn't charge iPod
  • Does not include a remote control
  • Does not sync with iPod.

JBL On Time

The noticeable feature of this iPod JBL speaker system is the circular design. In the centre of the unit is an iPod dock that charges, sync and cradles your iPod. Also, there's an output to connect a subwoofer, with a dramatically enhanced sound.

It has an alarm clock that works well. The alarm has everyday, weekday and weekend settings, meaning you don't need to reset the alarm or turn it off.

You can also set the snooze function for whatever interval you'd like and there's a flexible sleep timer, although it abruptly cuts off, rather than growing gradually quieter.

If your only desire is something like a small stereo, with the added benefit of a clock and alarm with superior sound, then the JBL On Time is definitely a good choice for you.

Pros:

  • Charges iPod
  • Syncs with iPod.

Cons:

  • Does not include battery
  • No added remote control.

Testimonials...
OMG!!!!!! This website helped me so much! I just got my first iPod yesterday and this helped alot.
SallyAnne, USA

You are a genius, I thought I had downloaded iTunes 7... I didn't have to reset, everything came up as was on it when it crashed. I cannot thank you enough for not giving up, this one had sentimental value that you cannot believe and they do not make the black nanos anymore. I tried everything on the internet, and you are the only one that replied and kept at it until you solved the problem.
Thank you.
Buddy Kniffen, Midland, Texas

Wow Daniel! What a fantastic service. I really didn't expect such a prompt response, if at all. And thanks for your advice. I certainly will be downloading from the sites you have listed. We are bathing in summer heat here, whilst I guess you are sheltering from the approaching winter. As a student it is not unusual to work through the night and I must say, how fantastic it is to have music all night. And such excellent quality sound too. So thrilled to have iPod up and running!
Thanks again.
Ciao
