Looking to get the most out of your iPod shuffle's battery performance?... Here are iPod shuffle battery tips to help you optimize your shuffle's battery performance.
|
Tip #1 -- Update Your Shuffle's Software
For optimum battery performance make sure that you have the latest iPod shuffle software installed. -- http://www.apple.com/itunes/download -- opens in new window.
Tip #2 -- Turn Your Shuffle Off
Turn off your iPod shuffle to avoid accidentally waking it up and playing songs in your pocket if its not been used.
Do not use the pause button as this will drain your battery power quickly.
Tip #3 -- Use Your Shuffle At Room Temperature
Your shuffle's battery works best when it’s at room temperature, generally near 20° C, but you can use it anywhere between 0° to 35° C (about 32° to 95° F).
If you have left your shuffle in the cold, let it warm up to room temperature before waking it from sleep.
Otherwise, a low-battery icon may appear and it will be difficult to get it back from sleep.
- Do not leave shuffle in a vehicle's interior when parked in the sun. Temperatures may reach up to 150° F (65 °C).
Tip #4 -- Charge Your Shuffle
Your shuffle fast-charges the battery to 80 percent of capacity in two hours. However, it can take 4 hours to fully recharge the battery.
- You should charge your shuffle when it has fully discharged even if it won't be used right away.
By following all these iPod shuffle battery tips you'll safeguard your shuffle against a failing battery.
But remember that no matter how carefully you use your shuffle's battery... the reality is that one day, it will give up its ghost.

You are a genius, I thought I had downloaded iTunes 7... I didn't have to reset, everything came up as was
on it when it crashed.
I cannot thank you enough for not giving up, this one had sentimental value that you cannot believe and they
do not make the black nanos anymore.
I tried everything on the internet, and you are the only one that replied and kept at it until you solved the
problem.
Thank you.

Wow Daniel! What a fantastic service. I really didn't expect such a prompt response, if at all. And
thanks for your advice. I certainly will be downloading from the sites you have listed. We are bathing in
summer heat here, whilst I guess you are sheltering from the approaching winter. As a student it is not
unusual to work through the night and I must say, how fantastic it is to have music all night. And such excellent
quality sound too. So thrilled to have iPod up and running!
Thanks again.
Ciao
