Hey I tried doing what you said, connecting the ipod to the computer and holding the menu and reset button. it turned off and came back on with nothing on it. no apple symbol or anything. just an illuminated screen, someone else told me to charge it for a while and then check it out. i did that too. it worked for a short while, i stopped using it and when i went to use it again it started doing the same thing, illuminated screen but nothing there. any other suggestions. Thanks.

Hi Victor,

You might need to restore your iPod. Remember that restoring it will erase all files on your iPod and replace them with factory settings.

1. Make sure you've reinstalled the latest version of iTunes http://www.apple.com/itunes/download

2. After installation, connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes

3. After a few moments, it will appear in the Source list in iTunes

4. Select your iPod in the Source list and you will see information about it appear in the Settings tab of the main iTunes windows

5. Click the Restore button.

6. After restoring it go to "File > Sync iPod" to synce your songs back on it.

Hi Victor,

No, if you reset your iPod it's not going to erase anything from it.

It's only when you restore your iPod that it will delete all data from it.
