JBL calls their iPod speaker, the JBL Radial, high performance loudspeaker for the iPod and why not?
One look at it and you will notice that it stands out from the conventional box speakers with its unique design and according to JBL the design is one that does not compromise on sound quality.
In fact JBL claims that the most unique feature of the Radial is the terrific sound.
JBL calls the Radial speaker a complete music system, a complete upgrade to your existing computer speakers and a multimedia center that can even transmit images and videos from your iPod to external devices such as your TV Monitor.
The JBL Radial comes with five speakers, one low-frequency neodymium driver and four Odyssey full-range drivers that are driven by powerful neodymium magnets for superior dynamic range.
JBL also claims that the low-frequency driver is capable of peak-to-peak travel of nearly one inch for astonishing accurate bass reproduction.
As for your iPod connectivity the JBL Radial comes with the Apple iPod Universal Dock adapter to which most docking versions of the iPod, including nano and 5G versions can be connected.
As for other devices the stereo mini jack connection allows you to enjoy high-quality audio from a variety of other devices, including the iPod shuffle, MP3 and CD players, desktop and laptop computers, and satellite radio.
Use the video out facility to watch video or images from your iPod on external monitors or TV's.
Other features include USB connectivity to your computer to directly sync your iPod and even charge it.
JBL claims that the Radial will charge your iPod without a computer connection, even when it's not connected to the computer. For ease of use the Radial comes with one touch button for volume control.
A computer optimized equalization ensures a rich and a good soundstage and an optimized compression technology ensures the sound is clean and accurate at high output levels.
The Radial also comes with a full-navigation wireless RF remote control that provides the freedom to enjoy your music from across the room, in another room, or outside the room, from up to 20 feet.
With the remote you have full access to your iPod where you can easily change tracks, browse libraries, adjust settings, and scroll through extras.
It weights 2.5 lb (1.2 kg) and its dimensions are 12 inches x 10.5 (height x width). Its voltage compatibility is the best among the iPod speakers in the market in that that it can handle anything from 100 volts up to 230 volts.
So if you are from Japan, Europe or America you can use the JBL Radial without any voltage conversion equipment.

OMG!!!!!! This website helped me so much! I just got my first iPod yesterday and this helped alot.

You are a genius, I thought I had downloaded iTunes 7... I didn't have to reset, everything came up as was
on it when it crashed.
I cannot thank you enough for not giving up, this one had sentimental value that you cannot believe and they
do not make the black nanos anymore.
I tried everything on the internet, and you are the only one that replied and kept at it until you solved the
problem.
Thank you.

Wow Daniel! What a fantastic service. I really didn't expect such a prompt response, if at all. And
thanks for your advice. I certainly will be downloading from the sites you have listed. We are bathing in
summer heat here, whilst I guess you are sheltering from the approaching winter. As a student it is not
unusual to work through the night and I must say, how fantastic it is to have music all night. And such excellent
quality sound too. So thrilled to have iPod up and running!
Thanks again.
Ciao
