There's no screen so you can’t watch videos or play games and you can’t also search for specific songs. Instead you shuffle through songs randomly.
The new iPod shuffle weighs in at just 15g, about the same size as a compact flash card. Nothing has really changed in the new model of the shuffle except the colors and the price remains the same at $79.
The battery still gives you 12 hours of music playback. You’ll be able to tell when the battery is falling via the battery indicator light on the side of the player. Charging is done via the included USB 2.0 dock connector. To charge, flip it upside-down and drop it into the included dock.
The dock connects the shuffle to your computer for syncing, and the iTunes AutoFill feature automatically syncs it with new songs each time you connect.
Like its predecessor, it measures 41.2 x 27.3 x 10.5 mm and weighs just 15.6g. It stores 240 songs on its 1GB flash drive and the built-in clip on the back attaches firmly to clothing and makes up half the shuffles's thickness.
