Avoid Apple
by: Mike

Can't be done. I made the same mistake on buying a EU limited ipod gen 6 classic. If you use iTunes to increase the volume you will lost clarity and it will distort. They use an algorithym so it's unhackable.
I won't buy apple again to be honest because of the EU volume limit and iTunes is utterly damn awful imo. Apple put the format on the ipod in their own format - taking away actual file names so you end up with (for example) ytbfd1 as a file name of one of your songs. All this takes time to do through itunes and the sdyncing is appalling.
Avoid next time.

Hi Mike,

You've got a point but I wouldn't suggest to avoid iPod or iTunes. To me the iPod especially the iPod touch has been the best MP3 player I've ever owned.

How to Raise the volume on your ipod songs
by: mysticmike

You have to do it on your itunes on your computer. Select the song(s) you want to raise the volume on and then right click on one of the songs. You will then click on 'Get Info' then on 'Options'. You can raise the volume there, then copy or re-copy your song(s) back down to your ipod. Hope this helped.

Testimonials...
OMG!!!!!! This website helped me so much! I just got my first iPod yesterday and this helped alot.

You are a genius, I thought I had downloaded iTunes 7... I didn't have to reset, everything came up as was on it when it crashed. I cannot thank you enough for not giving up, this one had sentimental value that you cannot believe and they do not make the black nanos anymore. I tried everything on the internet, and you are the only one that replied and kept at it until you solved the problem.
Thank you.

Wow Daniel! What a fantastic service. I really didn't expect such a prompt response, if at all. And thanks for your advice. I certainly will be downloading from the sites you have listed. We are bathing in summer heat here, whilst I guess you are sheltering from the approaching winter. As a student it is not unusual to work through the night and I must say, how fantastic it is to have music all night. And such excellent quality sound too. So thrilled to have iPod up and running!
Thanks again.
