By Daniel Dwase

Unlocking volume limit for iPod allows you to set a new volume limit for your iPod.

  • From your iPod's main menu scroll down and select 'Settings > Volume Limit'
  • Enter your 4-digit combination numbers you used to set the volume limit using the scroll wheel to select the numbers
  • Press the 'Center' button to confirm your password
  • Use the Click Wheel to move to the maximum level on the volume bar to remove any restriction on volume
  • Press the Center button to confirm the change

What To Do If You Can't Remember Your 4-Digit Password

  • Download and install the latest version of the iTunes software http://www.apple.com/itunes/download.
  • Open iTunes and from iTunes interface click on 'Users iPod' under 'Devices' and click on the 'Summary' tab where you will see information about your iPod.
  • Click on the 'Restore' button. Restoring your iPod will take a while so be patient. Be warned though all your data will be lost from your iPod but your iTunes library will stay intact.
  • After restoring your iPod, unplug it from your computer, and reconnect it once again.
  • All your songs and files will be downloaded back onto your iPod. If it doesn't start downloading automatically, go to 'File > Sync iPod'.

Testimonials...
OMG!!!!!! This website helped me so much! I just got my first iPod yesterday and this helped alot.
SallyAnne, USA

You are a genius, I thought I had downloaded iTunes 7... I didn't have to reset, everything came up as was on it when it crashed. I cannot thank you enough for not giving up, this one had sentimental value that you cannot believe and they do not make the black nanos anymore. I tried everything on the internet, and you are the only one that replied and kept at it until you solved the problem.
Thank you.

Wow Daniel! What a fantastic service. I really didn't expect such a prompt response, if at all. And thanks for your advice. I certainly will be downloading from the sites you have listed. We are bathing in summer heat here, whilst I guess you are sheltering from the approaching winter. As a student it is not unusual to work through the night and I must say, how fantastic it is to have music all night. And such excellent quality sound too. So thrilled to have iPod up and running!
Thanks again.
Ciao
